B. Magic

B. Magic Tea blend

This blend is perfect for cold and flu season. It is made with decongestant, anti-viral herbs that help clear a congested head or chest. Peppermint, elder flower, and yarrow are a classic flu remedy that really works! Elder flower supports a healthy immune system and, along with yarrow, helps to regulate fever, aches, and chills. Peppermint and sage help cut through congestion and lemon balm and catnip help to soothe and relax. All together they make a great tasting tea that’s yummy and supportive whether you’re sick or not!

Suggested Use: Steep 1 Tbsp per cup of hot water for 20+ minutes, covered.

Ingredients: peppermint* lemon balm* catnip* elder flower+ yarrow* sage* licorice+

Mint Syrup

Mint and Lemon balm Sweet Summer Syrup

20180714_124811-2

This syrup turned out even more delicious than I thought it would be.  I spent a lovely day at three different gardens harvesting six different kinds of mint.  It was fascinating how different they all look, smell and taste: from fuzzy, light green apple mint to shiny, dark green/purplish chocolate mint to variegated white and green pineapple mint to a curly leaf spearmint. I was infused with mint!  The cooling properties of mint are strong and easily recognizable: that icy cold feeling of menthol in an altoid or candy cane.  And many know about the common household remedy of a cup of mint tea for indigestion or stomach upset.  I mixed in some lemon balm for its sunny smile that lifts the spirits, as well as its digestive support.  I used half the amount of sugar of a traditional simple syrup, making it lightly sweet and very minty (and also not shelf stable, so keep it in the fridge!).  Enjoy some in sparkling water with ice and a squeeze of lime. It’s divine.

Lip Balm

Lip Balms

IMG_0126

As part of our workshops in December, we made three delightful lip balm flavors.  We made my classic lip balm that I’ve made in the past: calendula infused olive oil with and a hint of citrus. We made a peppermint cocoa with a hint of honey. And then we have a red tinted lip balm made with beet powder and a little peppermint. Hope you enjoy all three!

Ingredients:
All in a base of shea butter, coconut oil and RI beeswax. Calendula: Calendula infused olive oil, orange essential oil. Hot Cocoa: organic cocoa powder, raw honey, peppermint essential oil. Red Tinted: organic beet powder, peppermint essential oil.
